Safe Kids Charlotte Mecklenburg Educational Awareness Programs

Safe Kids Charlotte Mecklenburg is unique in our ability to communicate prevention messages directly to kids and their families through our comprehensive awareness programs.
These programs, involving media events, device distribution and hands-on educational activities for kids and their families, aim to get Mecklenburg County residents and visitors more involved in the safety of their children.
Since 2002, an estimated 40,000 children and their families have been directly impacted by 1292 Safe Kids Charlotte Mecklenburg educational programs.  17,652 have received free safety devices.  We estimate that 12,128 of these were low income residents. (July 2006)
Each program is supported by one or more of our committed program hosts and sponsors.  Our educational awareness programs are most effective as stand alone events.  Please visit the safety topic (listed below) you are interested in for details.
